Copy of "Catalogue of 525,000 Acres of Pine Timber Lands Belonging to the Saint Mary's Falls Ship Canal Company." This was a catalog of property sold to help fund the construction of the Soo Canal. Ward purchased several thousands of acres of property from this sale located along the Pere Marquette River. The person in charge of the sale was Cyrus Woodman. This also includes portions of a biography of Woodman as well as a finding aid from the Cyrus Woodman Papers located at the Wisconsin Historical Society. This also includes Nagle's notes.
