Includes a photocopy of a portion of the Senate Hearings before a Subcommittee of the Committee on Indian Affairs on the topic of Survey of Conditions of the Indians of the United States. These were overseen by Wisconsin Senator Robert LaFollette in 1930 (includes about 20 pages). Identifies the "Stearns Method" of cutting timber whereby timber was cut, yet Indians were not paid, which led to far less revenue for Native Americans. Copies include handwritten notes in the margins and highlighted sections as well as extended handwritten notes.
