Description: What College has meant to me, essay by Alice Rose Fitch Chinnery. Alice graduated from Ludington High School and then attended Southern Illinois College to become a teacher. After graduation, she taught in Chicago for 3 years. She returned to Ludington and married Alfred Donald Chinnery in 1928. Years later as her 3 children grew up she took college courses and graduated from Central Michigan College in 1959.
