Letter dated December 17th, 1942. Letter from Helen and David to her father, she talks about how glad she was to receive his letter and know how well Boston treated him. She asks if he has visited Hamlin Lake at all, or if he can get up there with his gas allotment. They talk about how the went to Detroit for the weekend to do some shopping and mentioned how busy everything was and they could not find a spot on the train. They mention how they had to pay a high cost of a Christmas tree of $3 because they were scarce this year. They mention that they are sorry they cant spend Christmas together but hope to after the war. The letter is printed in black ink on a cream colored thick paper. The letter is 2 pages long.
