Name of Object: Wooden Human Yoke  
Description: 42.5 long all made of wood, hand carved by Elmer Manchester who lived 1860-1937, he made this while he lived at Ford Lake, people put the yoke over their shoulders & hung pails from the ends to carry water from the lake to the house, at end of the yoke there is a groove for the rope to ride, the part that fits over the shoulder is 7 wide & 2.5 deep with a 18 long spare for the neck is 6 wide - laying on top of box on s. side  
History: hand carved by Elmer Manchester (1860-1937) grandfather of donor, made while he lived at Ford Lake, used to carry water home from Ford Lake
