Description: Harold Snyder writes again about the heat, down to 100 degrees. He wishes he could go to a picnic she is attending, but wishes for her to have fun. Tells her that government doesn't force anyone to go to another station, but gives them an option to say they will go. Talks about correspondence from his mother. Gertrude told him about girls "fainting at the shoe factory." His job entails ensuring that no one is "in the building" when he arrives and that everything is locked up. He says he likes the night shift, but its hard to stay in D.C. without her and wishes she was could be there with him. He comments that he writes to Gertrude's mother as well.
