Resolution given by the Mayor and Commissioners of the City of Ludington recognizing Captain Nels Palmer and and Coastguardsmen on September 26, 1930.
Coastguardsmen named:
Willam Deipert, Louis Hellenbolt, Milton Wilson, Louis Holstad, Milton Lewis, Raymond Chapman, Harold Gatfield and Leslie Squires who promptly and courageously responded to the call to rescue the crew of the schooner, "Our Son" on the afternoon September 26, 1930, deserves public recognition by this community.
