"This schooner was built on the Atlantic Coast for coastwise sailing. She was also a rum runner during prohibition. In 1936 she was brought to the Great Lakes by a Detroit owner and was on the lakes for several seasons carrying pulpwood. In about 1939 she was turned over to the Boy Scouts and used as a cruse ship under the name of Perry. Last report she was layed up at Marine City, Michigan. Henry Ford reconstructed her for the scouts."
