Description: 2 piece velvet formal with velvet over jacket dress, has off white bodice, red 4 cumberbund around waist, gathered in front, dress has long sleeves, snap clousure at wrist, dress part has peter pan collar with opening at front, hook and eye closure front  
History: Worn by donor as a student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 1941-1945. Purchased in the fall before Pearl Harbor.
