Name of Object: Cotton Frock  
Description: Shoulder to hem approx. 52", tan and burgundy fabric, front is inset of burgundy satin - smocking in V design at neckline, 6 rows of shirring (8" x 3") at the waistline. 2 - 2" wide by 66" long satin bows tie in the back into a bow. Boning in front, side & back. Front closure is 3 layers deep, inner hem has 13 button holes (some buttons missing), the right side folds over buttons & closes with 21 hooks and eyes clear from shoulder to below waistline. The outer fabric folds left to right & has 10 hooks & thread eyes. Short stand up collar. Sleeve approx. 19" long, hemline is stiffened with 4" wide stiff fabric - Fraser box  
History: Possibly from donors Mother's (Mary Lyons Dibble) trousseau. Possibly Julia Lyons, who was a smaller person than Mary Lyons, according to note with item.
